SARAVANAN SIVAKUMAR known as SURIYA


        He was born on July 23, 1975 as Saravanan Sivakumar.  He is an Indian film actor. She is married to Jyothika Sadanah in September 11, 2006.  They had two children Diya and Dev.
In 2008, Suriya founded Agaram Foundation.  Its legacy is to help children who drop out of the school in Tamil Nadu.  He created a short commercial video that wants to eradicate child poverty, labour and the lack of education.  It is entitled Herova? Zerova (Hero).  The video shows the importance of children gaining education at an early age.  It also points out statistics of children dropping out of school.  The film was written and Sivakumar himself.  Along with him are actors Joseph Vijay, R. Madhayan and her wife Jyothika.  The foundation has helped 159 students in 2010 for their higher education.  They believe in the saying that " The educated mind cannot only eliminate social evils but also aid in the socio-economic upbringing of society".  They are working on rural places who does not have access to quality education.
Aside from Agaram Foundation, he also has two advocacies namely "Save the Tigers" and "REACH".  Save the Tigers aims to protect and preserve the Tigers in India.  On the other hand, Reach aims to assist and help TB patients by using medication programs.  Giving his advocacies above, there is no doubt that SARAVANAN SIVAKUMAR known as SURIYA is a man of difference.

EARTH HOUR 2011

       Tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 8:30 PM, lights will switch off around the globe for Earth Hour and people will participate to act that will be happenning for an hour. This year, Earth Hour will be offered for the people of Japan. We extend our hopes and prayers for the the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
